Budolista ("we", "us", "our") is a money-saving app and website operated by Baptiste Group, based in London, United Kingdom. Our app is available at budolista.ph and on the Google Play Store.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Email address — only if you sign up for our newsletter or create an account to save deals.
  • City/area selection — if you choose a location during onboarding for local gas prices.
  • Interest preferences — categories you select during onboarding (e.g., gas, food, cash hacks).
  • Community posts — if you submit a deal tip or question to the community section.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage events — which screens you view, deals you click, and searches you perform. This helps us improve the app. Events are anonymous unless you create an account.
  • Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility.
  • Push notification token — if you opt in to push notifications, we store your device token to send gas price alerts and deal notifications.

Information we do NOT collect

  • We do not collect passwords (we use social login via Google/Facebook).
  • We do not collect payment or financial information.
  • We do not collect precise GPS location. Area selection is manual and optional.
  • We do not access your contacts, photos, or files.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Show you relevant deals and gas prices for your area.
  • Send push notifications you opted into (gas price alerts, deal expiry, sale reminders).
  • Send newsletter emails if you subscribed.
  • Improve the app based on anonymous usage patterns.
  • Prevent abuse and maintain the quality of community-submitted deals.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Affiliate links

When you click on a deal link to Lazada, Shopee, or other retailers, the link may contain affiliate tracking. This means we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase. The affiliate tracking is handled by the retailer's platform (e.g., Involve Asia for Lazada, Shopee Affiliate Program). We do not receive any information about your purchases — only that a click occurred.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these cases:

  • Service providers — Supabase, Expo, and Vercel process data on our behalf to operate the app.
  • Affiliate partners — when you click an outbound deal link, the destination retailer may track the click for commission purposes.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Retention

Anonymous usage events are retained for 12 months, then deleted. If you create an account, your profile and saved deals are retained until you delete your account. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Push notification tokens are removed when you uninstall the app or revoke notification permissions.

7. Your Rights

You can:

  • Delete your account — contact us and we will delete all your data within 30 days.
  • Unsubscribe from emails — click the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.
  • Disable notifications — turn off notifications in your device settings.
  • Request your data — email us and we will provide a copy of your stored data.

8. Children's Privacy

Budolista is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.
