Every GCash Cash-In Fee in 2026 (and How to Avoid Them)
GCash gives you P8,000 in free cash-ins per month. After that, it's 2%. Here's every method, what it costs, and how to stay under the limit.
There's a limit to GCash's free cash-in, and most people don't realize it until they see the charge.
Here's the full breakdown.
Free cash-in methods
You can cash in to GCash for free up to P8,000 every month. Over that, there's a 2% charge on the excess.
Free cash-in locations: 7-Eleven, Puregold, Ministop, Palawan Express, and other OTC partners. Walk in, give your GCash number and amount, done.
The P8,000 limit resets every 1st of the month. March cash-ins don't count toward April.
Payoneer to GCash is free with no limit. If you're a freelancer getting paid through Payoneer, this is your best option.
PayPal to GCash is also free but takes 1-2 days to arrive.
Methods that cost money
Bank transfer via InstaPay: P5 charge from GCash. Your bank might add its own fee too. BPI charges P10-P15 for InstaPay, so your total could be P15-P20.
Linked bank account (starting March 7, 2026): 1% charge. Loading P5,000 through a linked account means a P50 fee.
How to minimize fees
Check your GCash transaction history to see how much you've already cashed in this month.
Still under P8,000? Use any OTC partner. It's free.
Getting close to the limit? Switch to Payoneer or a bank transfer for the rest. The P5 InstaPay fee is much cheaper than the 2% OTC overage.
Avoid linked bank account cash-ins when you can do an InstaPay transfer instead. P5 versus 1% is a big difference on larger amounts.
One thing to remember
Screenshot every receipt and confirmation. If a transaction glitches, you need proof for the refund. No receipt, no refund.
The P8,000 limit is per calendar month, not rolling 30 days. December cash-ins don't affect January.
If fees change (and they sometimes do without much notice), the in-app preview before you confirm is the most reliable place to check. You can also verify at help.gcash.com.
